✨ Why Ease-Aquatics Anubias?

Our Petite Anubias is fully acclimated and algae-free. Because it is grown in local Pretoria conditions, it is incredibly resilient to the typical "Anubias Rot" seen in fresh imports. It is the perfect "set and forget" plant for busy scapers.

Advanced Technical Info

  • Rhizome Management: ⚠️ Critical: Do not bury the horizontal thick stem (rhizome) in soil. It will rot. Glue or tie it to rocks/wood instead.
  • Algae Protection: Because it grows slowly, it can catch spot algae under high light. Place in shaded areas for a pristine look.
  • Fish Compatibility: The leaves are thick and "leathery," making it one of the few plants Goldfish and Cichlid safe.
  • The "Petite" Advantage: It stays tiny. One of the best plants for creating "scale" in nano tanks or detailing large scapes.

Care & Maintenance

  • Feeding: As an epiphyte, it takes nutrients from the water column. Liquid fertilizers are highly recommended.
  • Light: Low light is preferred. If using high light, ensure it is shaded by taller plants to prevent algae growth on leaves.
  • Water Chemistry: Extremely adaptable, but thrives in slightly acidic to neutral water with moderate hardness.

How to Propagate

  • Splitting: Simply cut the rhizome with sharp scissors into two or more pieces. Ensure each piece has at least 3-4 leaves.
  • Attachment: Use Cyanoacrylate based superglue (gel) or dark sewing thread to secure it to your hardscape.
  • Placement: Position in areas with moderate water flow to ensure nutrients reach the leaves and prevent detritus buildup.

✅ Is this for you?

  • You want a plant that is basically "unkillable."
  • You have a low-tech setup without CO2.
  • You have plant-eating fish like Cichlids.
